It leaves my hair soft and clean after use; it is very sudsy. I admit I use the Neem shampoo body soap more but this is one I can travel easily with and has little to no fragrance which is very refreshing sometimes.
Was skeptical at first, but this product is amazing! quick rich lather and great scent. My hair feels great.
I am new to the shampoo bar world, and I wish I could say I had a better experience with this. Many articles and blogs recommended this so I thought I would give it a try. None of them mentioned that this could leave your hair feeling sticky!
This shampoo suds up pretty nicely, smells fine, but it leaves my hair stiff and tacky I can't run my fingers through my hair anymore. My hair feels like its heavy and dirty.
After doing more research, it seems that if you live in a hard water area (water is high in mineral content), this shampoo is not great for you. That or you need to do an acid wash after using this shampoo bar (but personally I don't have the time or want my hair to smell like apple cider vinegar).
Feeling disappointed with this purchase
Maybe I will try Ethique's or a different type of shampoo.
It does all that a regular shampoo bar does, it suds up and washes out nicely. However it leaves a weird sticky residue on my hair that makes my curly hair stiff, not a fan of 2 in 1 anything so I shouldn’t have assumed differently with this :(
I have been using shampoo bars for a while now, and I think I have enough to compare this to to give a complete review. For anyone considering this bar, know that there are 2 types of shampoo bars: the first is basically a dehydrated version of your regular bottled shampoo; the second is essentially old fashioned soap. This bar is the second type. I bought this bar assuming it was the second type (although I do wish the website made a distinction between the two, since they sell both types), albeit with some skepticism about its 2 in 1 capabilities, because it is the second type. For those who haven’t tried these before, most people are going to need to follow a soap-shampoo bar with some sort of acid rinse (some people use diluted ACV, I use strong hibiscus tea with wonderful results and no vinegar smell). Anyway, I tried to use this bar with no acid rinse because it stated it was a shampoo and conditioner in 1, but without an acid rinse, my hair felt gummy and dry. However, with the addition of my standard acid rinse, this is the BEST soap shampoo I have tried. It leaves my hair light and fluffy, and also silky smooth. I am very happy with the results; I just wish the description on the website was clearer.
