How to use: Scrape dishes to remove excess grease and food. Wet sponge, for plates, bowls and cups, and rub dish block soap to create suds. (Repeat as needed to refresh suds.) Wash items and rinse well. Works in warm or cold water. We prefer warm water for the best results. For pots and pans, use a scrubber or scourer.

Please note: using a strong scourer or scrubber exclusively on the block will wear it down faster than using a soft sponge or cloth.

For extra sparkly dishes: wipe dishes dry with a cloth.

Pro kitchen tip: Use the same dishwashing block suds to clean your sink when it gets dirty, this can be used on porcelain, stainless, stone and glass sinks safely. We have seen customers use it to clean dirty & stained oven top surfaces as well!

Use with sponge

I had a little difficult getting this to lather with a cloth but when I switched to a sponge it works wonderfully.

Pretty good, if only my partner thought so!

Well, the kitchen looks lovely with less plastic but this definitely takes time and patience to get used to. Not entirely an exciting prospect for partners who hate doing dishes! Might also want to invest in a good eco-conscious sink-mat to help with your lower back. I may try the sponge instead of the small brush; it flings soap bits and food particles all over the backsplash and onto the floor. Like I said, time and patience!

Great Zero-Waste Dishsoap

I really like this dishsoap block. I’ve found it effective for my dishwashing needs and easy to use. I bought a scrub brush too and really like the combination.

It is Good

It cleans very well. It is soft on the hands. It will suds if you just keep rubbing the sponge on it; suds don't last very long is the only downside. I will definitely keep using it instead of liquid soap in plastic container!
