What if the tracking number shows "Delivered," but I haven't received my package?
If you find yourself in the middle of a missing package mystery, below are some steps to take and things to consider:
1. Give It Another Day – USPS delivery trucks are equipped with a GPS tracking shipping that may accidentally mark a package as being delivered, when it has not yet been. If your package has showed as being delivered, but you have yet to receive it, give it another business day after that update and there’s a good chance it will reach you then.
2. Search Around – If you don’t see it in front of your door, check your back door, side of the house, apartment lobby or mailroom, and with neighbors that may have received it by accident.
3. Contact Your Local USPS Office – If you’ve waited an extra day for your delivery and searched every logical place it might be but to no avail, now is a good time to reach out to your local post office for more guidance.
As a small brand unfortunately, we don't cover stolen or misplaced packages if the tracking number status is “Delivered”! If you are experiencing shipping and delivery issues, you can email us at hello@ecoroots.us and we will do our best to help you out.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
What shipping materials do you use?
For packaging and shipping, we use only recyclable materials, including cardboard, paper tape, crinkle paper, and packing paper to make sure your products arrive safe and stay tight during transport.
How long will it take to ship my order?
Orders are shipped Monday through Friday. You should receive an email order notification after you place your purchase. You will not receive an email confirmation if you only provided a phone number.
We ship via USPS, so once your order ships, you can typically expect to receive your order within 2 - 6 business days. Please be patient, as USPS is currently experiencing delays. Please expect moderate delays for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, as carriers work to deliver high shipping volumes. Thank you for your understanding.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We want to make it easier for you to reduce your waste, no matter where you are!
What is your return policy?
At this time, EcoRoots does not accept returns. Returned products generate over 4 billion pounds of landfill waste per year in United States alone.
If you have any issues with your product, please don't hesitate to email us at hello@ecoroots.us and we will address these on a case-by-case basis.
Thank you for being eco-conscious!
PRODUCTS SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER BARS
How do you use the shampoo and conditioner bars?
Shampoo: Apply bar directly to wet hair and massage with hands until desired lather is achieved. Alternatively, lather bar in hands and apply to hair. Rinse thoroughly and repeat as necessary.
Conditioner: Glide the bar directly onto wet hair, starting at the roots and concentrating on the ends. Wait one to three minutes, then rinse fully. Leave the bar out to air dry so that it’s ready for its next use.
Where is the shampoo & conditioner bars made?
Our shampoo & conditioner bars are proudly made in USA.
Are your shampoo & conditioner bars septic/river safe?
Yes, our shampoo and conditioner bars are septic-safe. All of our formulas contain water-soluble ingredients and do not contain phosphates or other harsh chemicals that may interfere with septic systems.
What type of packaging do you use for the shampoo & conditioner bars?
In an effort to reduce our impact and packaging, our bars are shipped package-free. So, now you might ask, “Which one is the shampoo and which one is the conditioner?".
Here are two easy tips to determine which one is which: the shampoo bar is slightly bigger than the conditioner bar, and the conditioner has a smoother surface.
Do EcoRoots shampoo bars contain sulfate? What is SCS?
Our shampoo bars contain a gentler surfactant, sodium coco sulfate (SCS), which is less irritating than sodium laurel sulfate (SLS). Sodium coco sulfate (SCS) is derived from the fatty acids of coconuts and is a mild cleanser that makes the bars lather.
Do your shampoo bars sting eyes?
Our shampoos can cause a burning sensation if you get them in your eyes. Always keep your eyes closed when using any shampoo on your hair and head.
How many plastic bottles are diverted from landfills by using one bar?
On average, one shampoo or conditioner bar is predicted to save you roughly two to three average-sized plastic shampoo or conditioner bottles.
This means that one shampoo or conditioner bar = two or three plastic bottles diverted from landfills.
Can I use your shampoo bars on colored-treated hair?
Yes! Our shampoo bars are suitable for all hair types, including color-treated hair. They won’t strip color from the hair.
Can I use your shampoo bars if I have curly hair?

This particular bar is made with fresh peppermint combined with healing tea tree oil, which is helpful for people who experience dandruff. Extracted from the peppermint plant and melaleuca tree, these essential oils help reduce flaky or dry areas of the scalp.
SAFETY RAZOR
How do I use a safety razor?
1. Wash and gently exfoliate your skin to remove any dirt or other impurities that may cause irritation.
2. You’ll definitely want to use a shaving soap bar, lather, or cream of some sort - no dry shaving here! Once you’ve gotten yourself all bubbly, start shaving.
3. You’ll want to position your razor at an angle (no need to apply pressure to the razor) of about 20 to 30 degrees and let the weight of the razor do the work.
4. Rinse the razor frequently with warm water.
5. Feel your skin to find places that you may have missed and go over them again smoothly.
Give yourself some time to get used to your new razor. If you’d like to see the instructions in action, find a safety razor YouTube video to watch before you get started.
There’s no shaving in a hurry when you’re using a safety razor but we promise you’ll get used to it. You’ll be an expert in no time!
How do I insert or change the blades of a safety razor?
This process is as easy as one, two, three:
1. Unscrew the head of the razor. There are three pieces to a safety razor: the handle, the plate (the bottom of the head) and the cap (the top of the head). Once you have unscrewed the head from the razor, you’ll be able to separate the cap and the plate.
2. Insert the blade on the plate.
3. Set the cap on top of the plate and blade, and screw the head back onto the handle.
How can I prevent razor bumps or razor burn?
The best way to avoid both razor bumps and razor burn is to follow these simple steps:
1. Shave at the end of your shower. You want your follicles to be nice, warm and open.
2. Exfoliate your skin before you shave. By getting rid of all the dead skin, you’re also helping lift up all of the hair! None of those little buddies are going to get trapped under your dead skin.
3. Change your blade often! You want to have a clean, sharp blade on your razor at all times. Remember - change your blade every 3 to 5 shaves.
4. Never dry shave! This is seriously so important. You need that rich lathery goodness to help the razor glide across your skin! It will also leave you moisturized and smelling fantastic - especially if you’re using EcoRoots shaving soap.
5. Always shave with the grain! We know - it seems counterintuitive to shave that way, and most people tend to shave against the grain, but the right way really is with the grain. Give it a try for the next few times and we promise, you’ll feel the difference!
6. After you shave, let your skin breathe. Especially the bikini area - wear loose-fitting underwear to give your goods some space. Tight undies will irritate that most sensitive of places.
Can I travel on a plane with a safety razor?
Yes. If you’re traveling with your safety razor, you’re going to need to pack it in your checked luggage. As the blades are removable, they are considered a weapon by the TSA, and therefore are not allowed in your carry-on bag.
How often should I change my safety razor blades?
You should change your blades every three to five shaves. For most people, this will be about once per week. If your razor feels like it’s dragging across your skin, then you definitely need a new blade.
Don’t try and stretch out the blades for longer than instructed. Otherwise, you’ll end up with razor burn, bumps, and probably a few cuts!
How do I recycle safety razor blades?
Safety razor blades are recyclable. Because they are sharp, and because of their function, they are considered hazardous. You can recycle your blades at your local recycling center, where the blades will go into the stainless-steel recycling. Call your local recycling center to find out what the exact process looks like, as it may vary depending on the location.
What many people do is make themselves a little "razor bank." Go to a thrift store and find yourself a cute metal piggy bank and use that as your storage container! It will take a good long while to fill up. In the meantime, it will keep your blades from harming anyone, and then you can drop the whole kit n’ caboodle into the recycling once it’s full.
A note: we are currently working to implement our own recycling program for the blades.
Where is your safety razor made?
Our safety razor is designed in the USA and consciously manufactured in China.
Where I can find the pack of five free blades?
Our razor comes with a pack of blades. The pack of five free blades is located inside the razor package and underneath the razor.
