Natural Loofah

Alternative to synthetic kitchen scrubbers

I bought this product for a specific purpose: I was troubled by seeing tiny particles from synthetic kitchen sponges and scrubbers showing up on my kitchen counters, dishcloths and other places where they could be transmitted to food and consumed. Years ago, this wouldn't have bothered me as much - but there is increasing scientific knowledge about harms to people, wildlife and the environment that can come from plastics and other oil-based and synthetic products. The loofahs are proving to be a pretty good all-natural replacement. I like the way they look, too; the pattern of the fibers is a reminder that the materials is plant material. The one drawback is that they aren't good at removing baked-on foods - but they'll handle most other routine kitchen tasks.

Perfect

Perfect amount of abrasiveness. Holds up well and suds well. Also biodegradable. Win-win.
