Unscented Shampoo Bar

I've now used the shampoo four times since I received it with good cleaning results, but I don't agree with all of the reviews gushing about "oh my hair is so soft..blah blah blah".

I don't feel four uses is enough to make a final opinion, but here is my experience so far:
- lather: I give them an A+. Just rubbing the bar between your hands about 6-8 times creates a good amount of soapy lather than transfers easily to the hair. If it's been more than a few days, I have added a bit more shampoo (3-4 times rubbing between the hands) to get enough lather in the hair. When I rinse, it rinses out easily and my hair is definitely squeaky clean.
- fresh mint smell: you can really barely smell the fragrance and can't smell it at all after the hair dries. Again - the gushing over fragrance is nonsense. Besides, I don't want to smell like a mint garden - I just want to smell clean and I don't want my shampoo to compete with any fragrance that I want to wear.
- packaging: it's great to have recyclable packaging and zero plastic in the packaging. Shampoo in a bar is a great boon to the environment, and an even greater boon to your purse if it lasts as long as the marketing hype states. We shall see.
- Conclusion: First - don't believe the hype (especially people with thinning hair).. while it's too early to say this shampoo is making my hair appear or become healthier, I can say that healthier hair is one of my reasons for trying it. I don't believe for one second the statement "my hair grew four inches in one month after using this shampoo!" - that's not physically possible (hair grows an average of 1/2-inch per month). However, I do believe that fewer chemicals in your shampoo must have some positive result. This reason, combined with the packaging, is why I am even trying it. So, all I can really say is: we shall see.

I've struggled a long time with finding a shampoo bar that didn't make my hair fall out, I've been using this for a couple weeks & I haven't noticed any significant hair loss with this one, so hoping by the end of the bar it's the same scenario, if so I will definitely buy another! I'm grateful for a dye free & unscented bar too!
